How the World Summit on Universities handles the personal data it receives through W-S-U.org.

Who we are
W-S-U.org is the website of the World Summit on Universities, an independent body registered as World Summit on Universities - WSU LLC. WSU is responsible for the personal data covered by this notice. For any question about it, contact info@w-s-u.org.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what you give us through the site, and only for the purpose you give it for.
- News about WSU27. Your email address, when you ask to be informed. We use it to send news of the program and of registration, and nothing else.
- Requests to join WSU27. The details you enter in the join form at W-S-U.org/WSU27-Join: your name, position, university or organization, country, email address, and, if you choose, your title, phone number, interests and message. We use them to answer your request, to confirm your place and to prepare WSU27, the World Summit on Universities 2027 in Antalya, Türkiye.
- Messages. The details you enter in the contact form. We use them to answer you.
- Security. Like every website, W-S-U.org records technical data such as your IP address and browser type when you visit. We use it only to keep the site running and secure and to stop abuse of the forms.
We never sell personal data, and we never share it for advertising.
The grounds we rely on
Where the law of your country asks for a legal ground, we rely on your consent (for the newsletter and the consent box in each form), on the steps you ask us to take before you join WSU27, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Who sees your data
The WSU team, and the WSU27 team for requests about the summit. The companies that host the site and our mailboxes process the data for us, on our instructions and under their own duties of confidentiality and security. Your data may be processed in a country other than your own; where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law requires.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe. Every email carries a link to do so.
- Join requests and messages: for as long as we need them to answer you and to prepare and hold WSU27, then they are deleted.
- Technical records: for a short period, then deleted.
Cookies
W-S-U.org sets only the cookies it needs to work and to stay secure. It uses no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy of it, or to object to its use. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before. Contact info@w-s-u.org, and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority of your country.
Changes to this notice
When this notice changes, the new version is published on this page with its date.
