WSU27 · The founding assembly

The Founding Delegates

Every delegate of WSU27 takes part as a Founding Delegate of the World Summit on Universities, in Antalya, Türkiye, from 7 to 12 November 2027.

Leaders of higher education from several regions seated together in a closed forum.

The founding assembly

The Founding Delegates are the founding assembly of the Summit. They hear the work of the year, examine it in plenary and in sessions, and adopt its outcomes in their own name. What they adopt in Antalya carries the authority of the universities of every region, not of a single country, network or ranking.

  • 1,000+Founding Delegates expected
  • Every regionand every type of university
  • One voicefor each, the same for all

From hearing to adopting

  1. 01

    Hear

The Founding Boards present the results of their year of work, and the plenaries open each question to every delegate.

  2. 02

    Examine

Sessions by region and by domain, and roundtables among peers, give every delegation the time to weigh the texts and to speak.

  3. 03

    Adopt

The delegates adopt the International Day of Universities on 7 November and the Antalya University Declaration on 11 November.

  4. 04

    Carry home

Each delegate returns with the adopted texts, new partners across regions, and a place among the founders of the Summit.
